LEA:  Local Education Authority. This is the term used by U.S. Dept. of Educaiton, and in the RttT Final Progam Announcement to mean a school district.

 

RttT = Race to the Top -= RttT

  

RttT Final Program Announcement: This is an article in the U.S. Federal Register that explains the full RttT competition; it lists the priorities, supplies the application form, supplies a template for LEA-State partner ship agreements and explains how the application will be scores.

  

RttT Partnership agreement. This is a memorandum of understanding the the State is asking every LEA to sign. The more districts that sign this, the more points the STate can get on its RttT application. 

 

SB6696 - a new law in Washingon that makes into state law most of the priorities expressed in the RttT Final Program Announcement.
